Are you puzzled to know we will film you in HD for a certain price….just like all videography companies…but…but…we will charge you more…yes charge you more to render that HD to a Blu-ray disk….Why….Why??? Because the “render” time for most Weddings video’s is around 5 to 6 hours to “author” or later burn to a DVD….but…but….the render time for that same footage is 24 to 30 hours to “author” or burn to a “Blu-ray” DVD. Yes….lots and lots more render time…means the computer is tied up for a lot…lot longer…and you can not do anything else on the computer when the footage is rendering. Like baking a cake. It takes a lot long to back a cake for an HD burn than it does for a DVD burn.
Yes your will pay more…Is it worth it…depends…do you want you HD on a Blu-ray or don’t you. If you don’t…it’s ok…
I always film in HD…and anymore usually edit in HD….then I can render to either a DVD…less time…or render to a Blu-ray…takes forever.
Usually I end up putting HD footage…rendered for DVD onto a dual layer DVD because of the large size. To me…the dual layer DVD looks really good when played on a “blu-ray” player…
It sort of up-sizes it…makes it look great. So….if you want the look of blu-ray or HD without the cost…just ask for a HD filming…HD editing and render to dual layer DVD.
